“We booked this stay for our anniversary, and the experience was very disappointing. At check-in, we were told there was no parking near our building due to events and were directed to a distant grass lot. We were also charged an unexpected $39 “lodge fee” that wasn’t disclosed at booking. The desk clerk gave us incorrect directions to our room. After walking around with our luggage and carrying it up stairs (no elevator), we still couldn’t find it. Calls to the office went unanswered....

“For the small town of Hiawasee, you can find a better stay. We were in town for a concert and it’s only a 4 minute ride to the venue.”

“Everything about this cottage was absolutely a dream come true! Immaculately clean. Great bedding and pillows! Well-appointed in every way! It was the perfect hideaway for being snowed-in with a great view of the mountains. The hosts were very responsive, communicative and friendly! The fire-pit was stocked with tons of firewood, kindling, and a little lean-to to stay dry from the snow. It is a hidden gem and we will be back!”

“The property is very nice. A little aged on the cottages. The buffet was very well done , fresh, well seasoned and flavorful. Rare for buffet. The breakfast buffet was a little of a let down. For 22 a person. The omelet station was closed no pancakes or waffles or French toast. So for the price and only having 8 or so options I felt it was overpriced for what you get. I will say the quality was great for both and could tell it was all fresh made with real ingredients. The over all stay was great...

“The rooms are small with no TV, which suited us fine as we were away for a quiet retreat. The staff are so friendly. Breakfast was freshly made good southern food, with a different item each day. It is a very old creaky building with so much character, but no sound proofing! The whole stay had a very tree house, fairy tale vibe. we loved it! ”

“The place was confortable and many amenities were provided. The only item missing was Kleenex. Since it was cold weather we could not enjoy the back deck. It would be a wonderful space when temperatures are warmer. ”

“I have literally NEVER stayed somewhere more perfect. The property was beautiful and it seemed like every single little detail was thought of. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was out of this world amazing, the common spaces provided an excellent third space to just read and exist. Cannot wait to head back to the area just so I can stay here again and again. ”
