“Cathy was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating at the desk upon arrival. She definitely adds the small town, homey feel to the place. Due to them not having someone working in the lobby at all times, you are unable to get into the lobby without a code. We did not have that code sent automatically to us, and had to request it. “Linda and Mike were outstanding hosts and welcoming to us. They were accommodating to special diet needs, and anxious to meet our requests. Food was delicious, the sitting area was cozy and our room was perfect. If it were possible we’d give 10 stars. Mike us a tour of the mill and a history of the property that made the whole experience fulfilling. ”

“We stay here every year for our annual waterfall visiting trip. The previous three years, they had a hot breakfast. But this year it’s just cereal, waffles, bagels or toast, and yogurt. Just wish they’d add muffins, fresh fruit like apples or oranges, and cold boiled eggs, if they are minimizing. Bed was comfy as usual, and their inside pool is the best! Customer service was wonderful. Will return next year.”

“The Kingwood piece of property is beautiful, but the facilities have been maintained terribly. The men’s sauna did not work, and the women’s steam room did not work. Also, our room was full of ants. The pool is decent. We were hardly in the room so the weekend was fine, but the property is in such poor condition. We will not be back.”

“The lodges are about 10 minutes from the town of Helen. They were quiet and peaceful. Room was nice and comfortable. The owners, the Johnson family were very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The property has a large (~5 acres) backyard that you can explore with your pet. We took our dog along and he enjoyed the woods. The town of Helen was also mostly pet friendly and had multiple restaurants that allowed dogs (patio sitting). We look forward to returning again...

“The Dillard House Restaurant was wonderful! We did breakfast and dinner, both meals offered plenty of tasty, southern style food at a reasonable price. The pool was exceptionally clean. We had a nice and spacious suite. Great place for a weekend visit.”

Breakfast delivered to our door in the morning was healthy and delicious. Pool was clean and relaxing. The room was immaculate. We will definitely be planning a fall trip. Thank you so much. Places like this don’t exist anymore. We travel a lot. This place is truly a gem.”
