Despite it being a pub, it was great to be able to still come and go no matter the time which lent itself well to me as an early bird as it meant I could go for an early morning walk. “Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. (Watch out for some huge portions, though!) But above all, the staff were great, Georgie and the team, Joe, Katie, Simon, a special shout-out for Debbie (she knows why), and for all...
