“The property is currently under construction and under new management. The staff was friendly however the rooms are extremely old with wonky showers and tubs. When I checked in the room was not the cleanest with the previous occupant's hair left behind as well as crumbs and dust. The water temp was either scalding or lukewarm and I was never able to adjust it. Maintenance was very prompt and did manage to fix the water pressure somewhat as it was barely trickling the first day. The location...

“Very historic hotel. Not a lot of activity going on around town. The biggest draw back is the rooms have no air conditioning and the windows did not open. Our room was 76 degrees when we woke up. I probably would not stay here again. Should have booked a hotel in Cripple Creek.”

Upon check in the front desk clerk was very helpful and she was able to accommodate us with an early check in. After driving 8 hours it was such a relief.
