“Need a weather strip on bottom of the door insects were coming in from the bottom blankets had cigarettes burns , bath 🛁 tub was dirty i had to clean it”

“It's not fancy by any means. It meets bare minimum. I don't have anything negative to say. It just wasn't fancy.”

“Clean and tidy. Comfortable bed, Quality Inn pillows are the best! Decent hot breakfast. Well stocked and managed. Very good value for the price. Helpful staff. She got us a room near the lobby so us elders did not have far to walk. (Note this hotel has an unusual layout and some rooms are a llooonnngg way from the front desk, the elevator, breakfast.) The QI brand is our choice for budget hotels, much more consistently clean and well-run than any other budget line we have tried.”

“Hotel was fine - clean, well lit, etc. Staff was friendly but maybe a little forgetful. (Can happen to anyone, of course.)”

“Property was well cleaned and staff was very supportive. Breakfast was good. Some area of improvement is Lift which is very old and close early. Also it will be good if items have name listed for breakfast so it will be easy for vegetarian to select. I will definitely plan to stay again if plan to go Maggie valley next time.”

“We loved our stay at the General Morgan Inn. We came in on a Sunday and we were one of a few guests in the hotel that evening, which was kind of nice. I will say, nothing was open in the hotel that night, so we didn't get to enjoy anything besides our room and breakfast the next morning. We did enjoy walking up to the outdoor patio in the evening and just standing around looking at the view of the city. Would 100% recommend this place! ”

“Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant. There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry. Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge. The most serious negative was the high step...

“Rooms were very clean. Staff was helpful. Parking can fill up because of the bar/restaurant that is off the lobby. Restaurant was nice and had good food. TV was bad. Most channels would not come in at all and others were glitchy. Shower pressure was not very good. There were no issues with my service dog. Great experience overall.”

“The staff is extremely friendly and HONEST, our room was paid through Tuesday, my boyfriend and I thought it was booked through Monday (we didn't do the booking) so he went and paid for Mo day night. The following morning a gentleman came up to us as we sat in the rockers outside our room and said as he was going over things he saw the room was already paid through Tuesday and to come up to the office whee he gets time for a refund. You just dont know what find that type of honesty these days....

“The room was very humid despite all of our attempts to dry it out. There is no fan in the bathroom for humidity. The moisture made all metals corrode and it was just uncomfortable. Not good for asthmatics.”
