“Lots of rooms, but the one we stayed in was rough (peeling wallpaper, mold in the bathroom grout, overall worn looking place. Kind of surprised considering the reviews.”

“Great place for couples, 3 doors away from the Avon Theatre. The rooms were modernized, clean and comfortable. The only issue is parking, but there is a public lot about 1/2 a block away, and the "parking police" tend to be lenient.”

“This hotel is a great find. Wonderful location right downtown, we were able to walk to the Festival theatre is about 20 minutes, walk to restaurants, etc. We are lucky to get a parking spot right behind the building. We also appreciated the in-room coffee. We stayed in the "Mini" suite, which was larger than expected and had everything we needed. Bonus to be right next to the river and great beer bottle shop!”

“Easy friendly check in . Fresh coffee was made as it was a chilly, rainy day. Third visit. Decided to go for the Princess Diana room. Comfortable bed and sitting area, but a little weird having shower stall right in bedroom. Two piece washroom was in sad shape. Appreciated coffee in the morning but site we used erroneously suggested there would be pastries. Really missed the breakfast they used to serve but even a muffin would have been a nice and economical touch. Felt it was not great value...

“Blinds broke when I closed curtains. Curtains do not provide privacy from parking lot. Bedside lamp switch did not work. Toilet dripped constantly. Heater/AC sounds like 747 revving up. Bed comfortable enough. Free hot drinks and cookies. Adequate for single night stay, but overpriced for what you get. More like Hotel 8 in style. Outdated facility on its last legs. Staff friendly enough, but no one was around at checkout.”

“Nice clean room with two large beds very comfy and convenient to go to our event. Room was dark needed new light bulbs and they need access to the tv without having to remember a 5 digit code”

“No muss; no fuss. Clean motel rooms on a tidy property with a pretty little pool. The owner and staff were positively wonderful – helpful, kind, friendly. I will definitely go back!”

“Check in was good - checked in early and our room was ready. Toilet was a bit plugged on our arrival into the room but was fixed when we came back at night. Only complaint was the vacuuming in the hallway before 8 a.m. on Sunday morning! We had looked forward to sleeping in a bit after a long day previous, but that is certainly not a complain against eager and friendly staff - just personal preference. 8 a.m. vacuuming with an 11 a.m. checkout wasn't what we were expecting!”

“This lovely cottage was very comfortable and inviting. I wish I lived in such a place. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home. Freak fast was delicious, parking on site. Within walking distance of downtown and the theatre. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again.”
