Hotel a Dugspur

“When I checked in I was given a room number and key card and upon opening my assigned room I was greeted to a man sleeping on the bed. He then woke up and started screaming. Apparently there was a mistake and I was given an occupied room and the card to a room that was occupied. The mistake was made right but that experience was a little disturbing for a solo 19 year old girl traveling late at night. Overall room was not horrible but that experience was not very pleasant and I would not stay at...

“Place was clean, but in a medical facility kind of way. Also, woke up to no hot water. Front desk acknowledged no hot water in the kitchen either. Another said it must be that everyone was using hot water at once. I asked if showers by guests at 7:00 am on a weekday was not something they expected. Asked for a credit and the front desk took my number promising to call back. Never did. Emails unanswered. Seems as though this brand is independently owned and managed. I will stay away in...

“Booked a room with a king bed but was given a room with two queens. It worked out and room was comfortable and clean. Just not what we were expecting.”

“Eventhough we booked through Expedia, a warning about the train horns, and noise at wee hours of the night would help with planning to choose this hotel, coupled with paper thin walls. Breakfast was pretty good. Room size, and double sinks were good.”

“Fine for a bike overnight on the Blueridge parkway. Nothing fancy but adequate for our needs. Close to to restaurants and quick marts. Reasonable prices but could have had better pillows!”

“Breakfast was pitiful. Eggs poured out of a bag, biscuits that were hard with a little butter on them. No sausage, etc. Waffle mix was too thin to make a decent waffle. We gave up and skipped the breakfast. ”
