“Seems like a historical property with a bar and restaurant downstairs. The room we had was one with high ceilings, such as you might expect in an older Victorian building. Bathroom was roomy and nicely designed. No elevator, so you had to climb stairs. The restaurant and bar downstairs served very good food and was always busy. The property is right on a tram line, so it's easy to get downtown by hopping on the tram.”

“I opted for this hotel as prices in town had spiked up. The reality is quite far from what you see on internet. It is a decent place but could improve on cleanliness (carpeted floor is below acceptable, especially if you have a dust allergy - I suggest they get a better vacuum cleaner as a starting step). Staff is nice and most helpful. The area offers quite a different take on greater Melbourne.”

“Well located apartment very close to city with tram stop on you doorstep. Views were great, front desk was always manned, staff were always courteous., security access was good. Rooms were good but can be noisy as it is located on freeway. Didn't bother us too much but noise is obvious. There is a handy IGA located downstairs which was very helpful. I must point out that the gym is located in entrance foyer which we found wierd and uncomfortable. Otherwise very nice. Would stay here again”

“Easter Holiday weekend meant minimal services of all kinds. $26 buffet breakfast not very good value if all that was wanted was toast and tea. Room small (not enough open space for stretching/qigong exercises) but acceptable. Some other patrons noisy and unruly (eg: banging on several doors because they didn't know where their friends were staying).”

“The gentleman at reception was wonderful, friendly and polite. The room was average. Dirty plates in the cupboard. Flickering spot light. Shower needs attention as mould growing in the silicone. ”

“It’s a small boutique hotel designed for young demographic but we enjoyed staying here and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all (we are in our 40’s). Funky styled and friendly staff and à la carte breakfast was excellent. The roof top bar was nice too.”
