“This was a good stopping point for us on a trip. There's not much else around, but there is a restaurant on site that's pretty good. The room was very dated but clean. I appreciated the friendly staff, fantastic view from the back of the lodge, and easy access from the 80. I highly recommend Sierra Discovery trail nearby, it's a beautiful walk in the woods.”

“This is listed as a four-star hotel on Google, but that is not the case. It is definitely 2 1/2 as listed on Expedia. They did not have reliable Wi-Fi or any of the basic channels to watch sports. Based on other reviews it had recently changed ownership. They need to up their game or the poor reviews will start pouring in.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Yuba River Inn. The location was beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The check-in process was incredibly easy and smooth, which made arriving and settling in stress-free. The inn had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and we appreciated the comfort and charm of the accommodations. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, with so much to explore and plenty of activities and things to do nearby for nature lovers...

“The hotel was nice. Location was good - you can walk into the old town of Grass Valley easily. Breakfast was very good and the dining room nice. There was a manager's hosted happy hour which was a nice touch. The bathrooms do need updating but everything worked fine. Housekeeping staff was very nice.”

“It’s right in the center of Broad Street with a really nice cafe downstairs that’s open at 7:00am every day and has fantastic homemade bacon breakfast burritos. The room is clean and beautiful. I had some difficulty at first getting into the building and into my room with the respective codes. The trick is to wait until the door entirely stops buzzing and only then push it open. “The host was very accommodating. The property sets close to Rough & Ready hwy- especially cottage #10, which backs up within feet of the hwy. Bring an extra blanket if weather is on the cool side. ”

“My husband and I love staying here! We appreciate the warm friendly staff who graciously prepare a complimentary cook to order omelette and waffles each morning. Parking is easy to visit historic Grass Valley or a short drive to the cool waters of the Yuba River and Nevada City. We will be back next year!”
