“The place feels more like a halfway house than a hotel. No shampoo or soap in the bathroom, room is tiny, bed is absolutely awful. Check on was basic and the whole thing feels poorly handled. Stay elsewhere if you can, the only plus is it’s near the station, but yeah, it’s a dump. ”

“Quick and friendly check-in. Comfortable and clean room though maybe needed a touch of paint here and there but nothing felt dirty. Would go again for sure.”

“Thank you for letting us stay at your lodge. Everything was great. A nice , relaxed , break.Everything you need , and much more , was there. Even though we had the mispleasure of a storm , it didn’t stop us doing anything. Our Cocker Spaniel loved it too - even dog bowls supplied , if needed.May well book again if The Lakes is our destination x”

“Booked a 2 night stay for our 1st Anniversary. Excellent communication from host. Absolutely wonderful to have been given a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom lodge. Bedroom beautifully decorated with swan towels and rose petals - superb touch, along with anniversary banner on the door - thanks you. The lodge was clean cosy and home from home. Amazing views from the hot tub which was clean and covered with a veranda and fairy lights which made it perfect to relax. Would 100% recommend to anyone...

“Me and my family had a lovely stay at this lodge, it was very cosy with beautiful views in a lovely quiet spot. Id recommend to anyone who loves the lakes. Keswick is nearby with beautif derwent water and Dodd wood has a walk where you can reach the summit and get a great panoramic view of surrounding lakes. A lovely place.”
