“Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. ”

“Lovely lady at check on. I had a shower in the afternoon and the water was only slightly warmer than cold. It was hot in the morning. No bathroom mat which was a bit strange. Bed was comfortable. Older property that could do with some TLC. Carpark looked like it was freshly concreted so maybe they ate starting to renovate. Was it the best place that I've stayed at in Cessnock? No. Was it the cheapest place I've stayed at in Cessnock? No. Was it value for money? Yes. ”

“A really well situated property close to Peterson House which was our meeting point for our hot air balloon ride at 5am in the morning. Comfy beds, beautiful spa bath and clean apartment but a little outdated. It needs a good touch up especially the furniture in the loungeroom. Pool area also very nice and we were close to Harrigans pub and restaurant. ”

“Have loved this hotel for many years and look forward to visiting when we are in the area. The beds are soooo comfortable and we love the house, the quality touches like the beautiful decor, the complimentary loose leaf tea and coffee machine and the breakfast balcony. Such a special experience to visit Morpeth.”
