“Overall: This property did exactly what it was meant to do- allow us to relax and enjoy eachothers company for a week! Cons of our stay though- The water is not swimmable, we had to travel to a near by lake to actually go swimming. The house did not include a table, so it was hard to play our card games. The kitchen included a breakfast bar with stools for eating meals but not great for playing games. The week that we stayed was the hottest of the year... no ones fault, just ended up that way....

“Karen's Kottage is Kute and Komfortable! Sweet, petite cottage with a retro feel throughout. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated having fans in each bedroom for white noise. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. We were there in mid-September and the lake was very quiet as most summer traffic had died down already. “I stayed at this property with a group of girlfriends from all over the Midwest for a girl’s weekend. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. The home was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully laid out with lots of good sleeping and inside and outside hanging out spaces. “We had a wonderful time enjoying the lake house. It snowed all weekend and it was beautiful! The owner of the property took good care of us keeping the place cleared from snow and informed of all the things to keep us cozy for our stay! Wonderful communication with everything. “An adventure, old world hotel, not all the modern conveniences, but a fun stay. Love the trains, didn't see any ghosts, staff was great especially Anna!”

“We had a great time! The lake was beautiful and the house location is perfect for sitting on the dock to watch the sunset. We rented a jet ski from the owners and they delivered/ picked up right at the dock! The convenience was amazing. We were there to enjoy the water. Tubing, wakeboarding, jet ski, fishing! There was a school of sunfish living under the dock so the kids loved feeding them crumbs and watching them in the water. Also I must add that the house felt much bigger than the pictures...
