Hotel a Marshall

“This is an old property, and the rooms reflect the age. Not bad, dirty, or in disrepair, but well used and not updated. The breakfast had decent variety, but the "hot" items were not very good at all, maybe because they were kept in steamer trays with no heat source. But the waffle maker worked great, and the coffee machine serves hot fresh brew 24/7. Front desk staff was mostly absent during key hours (like morning check out). Seems like they live on the property, and spend more time there...

“Overall, the hotel wasn’t very clean and hallways smelled strongly of marijuana. Thankfully our room felt fairly clean. We went to breakfast 40 minutes before it was supposed to end and there was no warm food remaining and the waffle maker was broken. Overall we don’t recommend staying at this hotel and we won’t be returning.. ”

“Air conditioner rattled so loud it took me 4 hours to fall asleep”

“The hotel was everything you'd want. I arrived late and the night staff member warmly welcomed me and had everything ready. Basically, he handed me the room keys and I headed straight to the room. The room was clean and everything was in good repair. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.”

“The furniture looked newer but the carpet was dirty and the doors were old and in rough shape. No body wash in the shower. Coffee was good.”

“Booked a double queen room, when we got there they only had a single king available. When we got to the room and pulled out the pullout couch there was no mattress. I went to the front desk and was told there aren’t mattresses on the pullouts and was given a pillow and a blanket for my daughter to sleep on. Needless to say we all slept in the king. Why would I pay for a double queen room for 3 of us to share a bed. Highly unsatisfied.”

“Loved the room & the accommodations. DID NOT like having to get in touch with via cellphones for anything. Also, our last night I thought we had; we did not. So, we have to rush to check out.”

“NOT PET FRIENDLY EVEN THO WHEN I BOOKED MY ROOM IT SAID PET FRIENDLY THEY ARE NOT! This is FAULSE ADVERTISEMENT AND THIS IS ILLEGAL!! I DID NOT STAY THEY DENIED ME THE ROOM AND WONT REFUND MY MONEY!!! And my “pet” is ESA THAT YOU CANT DENY!!”

“Absolutely fantastic stay. Clean, modern and beautiful room, understanding staff. Great sundry shop options, it was nice to have vegan food options after a long day of travel”

“Did not use the pool. Breakfast was mediocre, nothing special. Staff was friendly but one guy didn’t seem to knowledgeable about laundry room amenities.”

“We were staying for our daughter's graduation from UW. The hotel itself was solid. Clean, great staff. Breakfast was average, but it was included. My only gripe was the 2 1/2-3x rate markup due to graduation weekend. Paid $800+ for two nights in a 2 queen bed room. Same room next weekend is $300. All hotels in the Madison area did the same. Otherwise, a nice place.”
