“For the price, this place was amazing. There were a lot of families staying at the time we were. It gave a “camp ground feel” where everyone just hung out together. It was awesome and we will definitely be back. ”

“Loved my stay here…Brant was very helpful with information on the area since it was our first visit. Very clean room and comfortable bed and pillows! Close walk to all of downtown shopping and restaurants. Piano bar is right across the street, but loved the live music in the garden area…the rabbit even enjoyed the music…lol…found out he feeds the rabbit graham crackers so they stick around. Beautiful property and town! Will definitely be back ”

“What a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed the grounds and the ambiance of the main house. Our room was in the carriage house and it was cozy and nicely appointed with various musical instruments, reminiscent of the man for which this room was named. We got up and dressed and walked across the back garden path to the main house for breakfast. It was a purely pleasurable experience. “We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Woodstock. Our room was lovely - and absolutely spotless. Kim, the owner, is a kind and welcoming person. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We will absolutely stay here again if we go back to the Kansas City area.”

“We really enjoyed the host making our “check in” truly unique by sharing a lot of the history and character of your landmark home. We decided to skip the breakfast part of the Bed & Breakfast and enjoyed breakfast with “the locals” at “the Diner” recommended by our host. We really appreciated our host’s recommendations for a variety of quality “local” amenities. My wife raved about our “feather bed”again and again on our trip back home:-)”

“Mike is a great, easy-going guy. He gave us early access to the building & room. Convenient digital touchpad entry. He retained all the original woodwork, doors & windows that give the building a wonderful historic vibe. There is no better place to be centrally located for all of the downtown restaurants, shops, & historical sites. ”

“Stone Haus is a beautiful property and a comfortable, cozy place to stay. Linda and Larry are such lovely hosts and their dog Maddie was a fun addition to our stay. The breakfast was delicious! We look forward to staying at Stone Haus again the next time we visit Hermann.”

“The stay was everything we were looking for. I love Excelsior Springs and the property puts you in the heart. Lots of shops and restaurants. Quiet and kind. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and the bed was hard to leave. The furniture, the bathroom, all added to the stay. We could watch tv and had wifi. It was spotless and cozy and Susan made sure I had all the information I needed in great time before my stay. Thank you!”

“The inn was so unique and had such amazing history. Frank was the sweetest and so nice about us coming in later. When we came he showed us around and told us all about Smithville’s history and some of the artifacts there. Can’t wait to come again! ”

“This stay has been amazing! Bed is super comfy (and I’ve had back surgery) took all the back pain away! Host is friendly and accommodating. Beach house was very clean. The stay has been awesome ! ”
