Hotel a Monsal Dale

“A good place to stay for three nights. Breakfast is fine even if I would expect more warm dishes and drinks (milk, for instance). I can't understand why there are no smaller towels in the bathroom and why no hairdryer is provided. I brought mine as I had seen other reviewers. One more thing to take care of is the staff at the reception. All very young people who didn't know anything about the area and the town. That's a shame! ”

“Stayed at Sycamore Cottage and could not have wished for a better place to stay, food great at the pub and fantastic service thank you and we will be returning.”

“Room was very clean and well stocked. My only tiny complaint was the amount of glass bottles that were still left outside the rooms when I checked in (5pm) and were still there when I returned from dinner (10pm). Several (including a broken pint glass) were outside my room, and then other rooms on the same floor had one or two outside too.”

“The hotel had lots of character. We couldnt fault the room. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The little touches like fresh milk and drinks in the fridge on arrival. Packed lunch every mornimg of our stay. Ideal location for exploring. The pianist in the restaurant in the evening was lovely.The food was very good.”

“Wow wow wow ! What a stunning place to stay. Steven one of the owners of the building greeted myself and friend as we arrived. He was such a lovely and accommodating host from the swcond we got to the hotel. Martin work also works at the hotel was wonderful, pretty sure he cooked our breakfasts which were delicious ! What can I say other than it’s been an absolute dream come true and thank you for being so kind. ”

“Stayed here 2 nights. The chef Elvis outdoes himself with Michelen star quality meals. The Crab Salad and Pork Rigatone were faultless. Best meals I have eaten in Europe. Friendly bar staff and spacious room with first class bathroom. Mattress needs replacing though.”
