“Staff was not very professional over the phone. They did not pick up when I called the property and would frequently answer with “what” something rude. Upon arrival they stated my room number out loud with other guests in the lobby which made me feel unsafe. I was also given the code for the first room I was told and then was told “actually it doesn’t work” and was given a fob to a completely different room instead. “This hotel is my go to hotel when I visit Newport Beach due to it’s nice accommodations in the Junior Suite, reasonable cost, location and property maintenance.”

“Location!+++. On the beach,by the pier, lots of beachfront restaurants. Lots of street activity until about 11 pm. On the long beachfront walkway. Staff very friendly and helpful. The place had unique historic character decor. Comfy bed. The only suggestion is the continental breakfast would have been lovely to have the Dory Bakery pastries next door instead of store bread and bagels.”

“The street noise was very loud, and there were ants in the room. It is an expensive room for bad sleep and ants crawling on your toothbrush!”

“I have stayed at this hotel a few times now. It seems to be getting better. the restaurant was a bit better. But, what was really noticeable was the staff here is extremely good! They went out of there way to be of service on several occasions. Also, a hit tip to valet, I had a special car and they new what to do, which lessens my anxiety! Good job Lido. BTW, I also stayed at the BH hotel on this trip as well, so the Lido did well!”
