“We arrived late so unfortunately didn’t get to experience the food but the bar and restaurant was lovely and we only wish we could have spent more time here. The decor is amazing. Rooms were large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very helpful.”

“The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late. The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely.”

“Very pretty pub with nice rooms above. In a great quiet location. The rooms were quaint but with modern amenties and well maintained. Breakfast was great as was dinner in the pub. The staff were very friendly.”

“Beautiful setting, walked through the lavender bushes after a delicious Sunday roast. Room is amazing and the staff are so lovely. All made for a relaxing, overnight stay.”
