“The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds”

“Loved the interior of the pub and the dining room . All of the staff were pleasant and helpful especially Ross who was friendly , professional and very helpful. We had one of the annexe rooms and it was very peaceful , clean and facilities were excellent . We were very happy with our evening meals and breakfasts . Would happily return .”

“Pleasant stay. Clean room. A not too loud alarm did disturb our sleep a little but it must have been nothing untoward? - fire regulations said to wait in bedroom until otherwise advised... fortunately no such advice was forthcoming!”

“The Lairds House is a unique place to stay. It has an historic charm and well furnished hotel rooms. I also ate there and the meal was good, but did suffer from an upset stomach after. In the morning as a result I had a very simple breakfast, avocado on toast which was slightly below par. My main concern was having booked through Expedia there was a dog fee which wasn’t clear of £15.
