“Communication with host was excellent. This is a good place for young travelers, not multi-generational. The property was clean and easy to locate. On the downside, the stairs were narrow, the beds were not very comfortable, and there was only one full bath so for morning shower with 6 of us, it took a long time. It would have been very helpful to have an extra shower. There was no dishwasher and the washer already had bedsheets and could not be used. We also had trouble pulling the keys from...

“While our host was responsive and friendly, we need to raise an important issue. The street the house is on is completely torn up and being replaced, including the underlayment, sewers, and utilities. This was a complete shock and surprise to us and not included in the listing. After viewing municipal documentation, the project was approved in January of 2025 and began that Spring. Phase I was complete in December of 2025. We booked our reservation in late December. “The size, configuration and amenities suited our party very comfortably. The location was convenient to our activities in Kitchener Waterloo. Ahead of our very late checkin, the host let us know of an issue with the furnace. He was able to mitigate with several space heaters, so we were comfortable for the remainder of the stay. Being a very old house, with the arrival of warmer weather, there was an influx of ants around the doors; perhaps some ant traps would slow them down. Overall, a cute...

“Very quiet. A little too cool. I could not find the thermostat.”

“Lovely house in a nice suburb but it's not set up for living. There are appliances but no plates, the only cups are 8 wine glasses and a single mug. House rules are to clean up after everything you do, even taking the sheets off your bed and putting out garbage, saw more rules in the house than were listed online. The beds themselves had one thin sheet instead of a mattress cover and only one duvet on top. It's a nice place but I'd maybe pay half of what I did when the house isn't set up...

“The property was well kept and as advertised. It was more than suitable for our needs. We were in Elora for a wedding. We had 6 adults. Lots of room for us. There was a small issue with equipment which the owner addressed immediately. Very nice safe neighborhood.”
