“Very poor condition, bed mattresses terrible, didn't change towels daily, we did appreciate River view behind hotel. Lots of painting & fixing needs to be done - internally & externally needs to be done. Much too high in price $156 per day. We stayed 3 nights & used 2 rooms - one for friends.”

Hot tub did work and construction in other rooms you could hear, although they could not come and fix plumbing and clogged toilet in our rooms. Had to repack and move to a down graded room. Had to get towels cus only a couple were supplied in rooms and pool area.”

“Clean room. Basic supplies. Renovated. Parking is easy. Close to Front street but in a quiet area. The only complaint since it is a wooden structure, you could hear the footsteps, ruining water, toilet flushing from unit above. I stayed in the middle floor. Please note there are no elevators. ”

“Amazingly friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast area was well-stocked and very clean, in fact the entire hotel was spotless. The walls and structure seem thin, so it was kind of noisy. Our room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Such a much nicer hotel than other Quality Inns we’ve stayed at. We would definitely stay there again!”

“We walked into the room and immediately saw that there was no way we were sleeping there. There was visible pee on the floor beside the toilet, the floors look like they hadn't been swept in a long time, there was debris everywhere, there were dirty spots on the sheets, juice ring stains on the coffee table. Overall the room was dirty and disgusting. The rooms outside appearance was deceiving. We talked to the owner John about getting a refund because we were not staying there, he was...

“The room was perfect - King bed plus sofa. The amenities were over the top: free breakfast, free afternoon snacks (popcorn), free cookies in the evening, and a manager's reception (spagetti, taco night, chili night) M-W evening! The hot tub was hot and the pool was heated. And the free breakfast was better than most: prepared omlettes, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, chocolate milk, lowfat milk, cereal, spicy potatoes, bacon/sausage, pancakes, juices, great coffee. “My room was great. We had a 2 bedroom/2 Bath suite with a full kitchen, living room and a deck. The grounds were beautiful. Staff was great and the room/grounds were very clean. Would recommend The Blue Elk Inn to any family/friends. Hope to be back in the near future.”
