“The place was super clean well kept. Safe area lots of things to do and see. There is a sing seat by the river watch is magical. The inn keeper is so humble and kind. She is very Accompadating. And there is a trian ride that takes you to Jim Thorne. Will definitely be back again in October for the fall festival and the changing of the leaves.”

We were going to stay in downtown Lancaster, thinking that it would give us a taste of Amish country. Fortunately we chose Frush Farm B&B instead as when we visited Lancaster the next day (in between nights at Frush Farm) we were shocked at how run down and full of addicts Lancaster was. “This was a surprisingly quiet stay for a hotel! (Aside from nearby highway traffic) The room was great! Not sure if they ran out of other room types or they get a lot of contractors staying longer but they put me into a full suite. Never had a full size fridge and kitchen in a hotel room before. Even the view was very nice to see the golden hour sunset over the trees. Everything was quite nice about the stay... ..._except_ for the continental breakfast that was provided. I'm still trying...

“I grew up in the area and sometimes stay at the Pottsville Inn and the previous Ramada. The property has improved from the Ramada where we stopped staying there due to disgusting toilets, women's underwear hanging from the ironing board, broken hotel door locks, and general filth under the bed. The visit to the Pottsville Inn was an improvement.”

“We came to Pottsville for Yeungling and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and The Carol Century House couldn't have been more perfect. The house was charming, and that part of the street was pretty quiet. It was 12 blocks from Yeungling and a few more from a variety of restaurants. There were two streets parallel that had gorgeous houses. It was a perfect neighborhood for walking our dog. The house itself was adorable. Very clean and very nicely remodeled (in fact, I want that master bath in my house!)....
