“We stayed for a week during spring time, dogwoods bloomed and so was rhododendron and azelias, iy was a piece of heaven. It was nice and comfortable for the two of us. Old time charm and updated fitures that are a necessity. Neighborhood is super quite, which was important after a day of work. Allison was very helpful, always promptly answered any questionsthat we had. Snack bar items and everything that you might need for tea or coffee was also a nice bonus. ”

“I didn’t like one of the ladies that check you in she rude rude she cater to the white people, but gave the Black people a hard way to go and that’s not cool. She just that when we came down for breakfast and all we ate breakfast was one day there she criticize us. I wish I could remember her name, but I can’t, but we had the same problem last year too.”

“We walked to this property as a stop over as we traveled up north after picking up our son from college. We needed a place that was quiet, restful, and beautiful. This place was absolutely perfect. It has stunning views. Check in was very easy. And our host was very responsive.”

“The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. “Love it here. Lots of great history. I mistakenly booked twice. I canceled a booking yet Expedia still charged me $40 service charge. I thought i was dealing directly with property. Its deceptive when 3rd party sites intervene with actual property websites. I was told by front desk they want to get rid of Expedia. ”
