Motel a Piney Woods

“was initially assigned room 202, but the door would not open, so I was given room 203. After lying down, I moved the pillow and found a cockroach, exactly as shown in the attached geo-locatable photos. I immediately went downstairs to complain. I was asked if I wanted a refund, but I declined because it was late, my luggage was already unpacked, and I just wanted to sleep. Instead, I was offered 15 USD. “Had to check out early. Front desk told my husband we would have to contact Expedia to get our refund. Expedia tried contacting the hotel and they would not answer/reply to any of their messages.”

“How this hotel got almost almost 8.0 rating is crazy to me. The room we stayed in looked like someone had kicked in the bathroom door - the wood around the frame was splintered and held on with screws. There was no secondary lock on the main door. These are minor repairs that cost very little money that would improve the room dramatically, yet they chose not to do them. I would never stay there again or recommend them.”
