“Just adequate. Room was clean, but smelled moldy. Property is dated and off the beaten path. Low volume day we were there. Skeleton staff had to wait for someone to come check us in. Was out of waffle mix. No protien offered with breakfast. Seems like they are barely hanging on, but doing bare minimum still. Not a plan for success in my opinion. ”

“The property is in a good location and we felt safe. The rooms are a good size and clean. Breakfast is ok but the coffee was too strong and there were no eggs offered. The pillows were just ok, not the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”

“Upon arrival, I was greeted by a teenager at the front desk. Although he was very friendly, he appeared to have no clue how to accept cash payment or check us into our room. There was no coffee maker, although there was definitely coffee all over the wall. Front desk said they'd find one for us, but I had to go back down and basically demand one for my mother in law. The toilet wouldn't fill at all, so we had to pour water in the back for it to fill, and the shower ran all night because the...

“Susan welcomed us at the front desk. Very courteous and helpful. I have stayed there before with my late husband. My daughter was with me this time. We were so sad to leave. Nice clean rooms, breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, and the view of the river! Couldn't ask for anything else. We can't wait to go back!”

“I had to switch rooms. These rooms are absolutely disgusting. The only clean rooms available were the cabins. Pictures are great on the website! In person, dirty! Room at the end (28) is located by someone living out of a C-Container and a camper with possible access from their company or his to our vehicles. Don’t book here by online, go see the room first before you book.”

“From the very beginning, the Balsam Mountain Inn sang to me. I'd never been here before. I wanted a bed and breakfast near the Blue Ridge Parkway; and, yes, something affordable. The Inn is a HALF MILE from the Parkway, and the price was right for our mid-week getaway. Such an interesting, historic place. Between Waynesville & Sylva. So relaxing!”
