“Classico grand hotel, in posizione strategica all'inizio dei principali trail del parco. Per quello che costa però la camera non è niente di speciale, il parcheggio è sproporzionatamente piccolo per gli ospiti, il personale di reception e sala alla colazione con cui abbiamo avuto a che fare era giovane e/o inesperto... Ma in un posto così vivi di rendita...”

“Clean room. Easy parking. Close to walking tracks and the Church of the Good Shepherd. We used it as a staging area for Mount Cook. Takes about an hour and a half to get there from Tekapo. ”

“The living room is nice, but a little bit cold, the heater is not close to the cough, it needs time to warm up the room. Master bedroom has no heater and is small, the queen size bed occupied the whole room, no space for bag luggage and walk around. The bathroom is old style. ”

“We review the room on the basis of value for money. The room cost the same as 5 star hotel in a major city. We appreciate the fact that this is high season in a sought after location. The motel has limited facilities. No cafe, restaurant. No outside seating area to appreciate the view. Amenities are jombo sized, not elegant. Nor comprehensive. Cooking facilities are adequate but, for example, no oil for cooking etc. For a reasonably priced motel we would rate good to excellent. BUT, based...

“We had a ‘cube’… The rooms were so dirty, the sheets clearly were not washed and had stains on. There were dead bugs everywhere, a dead mosquito and moth fell onto the bottom bunk as I was lying down. As you drive in it looks run down from old/abandoned caravans. One block of bathrooms were dirty, flies everywhere with toilet roll just on the floor no stand for it…”
