“Really enjoyed our stay - it was a last minute getaway! Things I loved: Front desk staff was very nice. Historic lore. Elevator was ample sized. Bookshelves with books everywhere - halls, room - to borrow during stay. Room was nice size. Air conditioning was amazing. Beautiful new pedestal sink, well lit mirror and new high toilet. Nice towels, not scratchy and for the first time ever - actual toilet paper, not 1 ply institution tissue paper! Things I did not love: Front desk person make us...

“The breakfast food was very good, the coffee very bitter and strong. The room was comfortable with a big shower. Regarding the cleaning, there was a long hair inside a towel.”

“What a delightful getaway! Park like forested grounds, amazing saltwater pool and hot tub, full service on site spa and a comfortable library with fireplace, pool table and games available. They seemed to be understaffed during our stay, but we still enjoyed it immensely.”

“It would be nice if there were outlets closer to the bed but otherwise we love our stay. As a point of interest Hotels skip the 13th floor or room to avoid alienating guests who suffer from triskaidekaphobia (the fear of the number 13). Because up to 13% of people feel uneasy staying on that level, developers find it easier and better for business to simply rename the floor.”

“I got in at 215am and they had me checked into my room promptly so I could get to bed and get rolling by 11am. Couldn't ask for more than that, great place, very clean. ”
