“Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us! Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away. Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve! We will definitely return.”

“Room was spacious, staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to charge our car for free with the destination Tesla charger. Pool was really warm - didn’t mind the charge of £5 per person per day - we were informed of this beforehand so no surprises there. Did not eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food ”

“Lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Generally a lovely stay with great choice at breakfast. My only criticism is that the drinks at the bar are a little on the pricey even for a four star hotel. But still enjoyed the lovely deco and would recommend this hotel. ”

“We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful”

“La struttura e vecchia con un montacarichi che definiscono ascensore. le stanze non vengono mai pulite, soltanto la biancheria del bagno viene cambiata. unico lato positivo e che si trova in una posizione fantastica”

“What a great weekend spent at this amazing hotel. The staff were so friendly and professional. The room was huge, extremely clean and had a great view of the horses in the neighbouring field. The main selling point for us was that this hotel was dog friendly. Needless to say, we will be returning next year.”
