“This is a WONDERFUL resort! It's in a wonderful setting, near a fun town, and the staff is great. Newman's restaurant, part of the resort, is the best restaurant I've had the privilege of enjoying in several years. A bit pricey, but worth the price. My standard for 5 stars is generally Four Seasons hotels and resorts. If Four Seasons operated a very small boutique inn, this would be it.”

“Clean rooms”

“Do not recommend staying here. Room smelled, no smoke detector, manager will not accommodate or refund money, people are playing music and doing questionable things until 3:00 in the morning.”

“Everything about Moutain Inn is perfect the rooms, the staff, pet friendly! It is so quiet and peaceful here, just the perfect place to come and have no worries at all! I highly recommend everyone who comes thru Flat Rock NC looking for the best place to stay, choose Mountain Inn You will not be disappointed!!!!”

“We stayed here one year ago and all was good but on this trip we were given a room with a foul odor that smelled like wet carpet. The towels and wash cloths still looked dirty and the TV didn’t work. Thankfully there was other rooms available and the staff was more than helpful to give us another room. The only other issue was that the breakfast was not good at all and food that should have been kept warm was cold. We probably will not be back to this location again.”

“Clean room, pet friendly”

“This is a wonderful place. The set-up is unique with self-check in. Everything was clean and very comfortable, plus it's pet friendly. We loved having a little table and chairs outside our door. There is also a covered grilling area. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was very relaxing.”

“What can I say? Perfect. Not a singular complaint. The hosts were amazing. The cabin was exceptional, with a private balcony, amazing tub, comfortable bed, high-quality bedding and furnishings. Our cabin had a kitchen with everything we would need. The property was exquisite and the saltwater pool and hottub were highlights. Firepit and grill station were clean and inviting. “It was very quiet”

“Amazing views, great breakfast, comfortable room and bed, with lots of space and room for family games or other activities. Really close to beautiful views at Jump off rock. Be sure to arrive to see the sunset at Jump off rock. AC rattled a little in the Royal Room.”

“They are trying to renovate an old Victorian house, but really do not seem to have any experience with hotels or B&B's. The room we had was painted poorly with messy paint lines at the trim and paint drips on the floor. The caulking in the shower was comically bad. The shower was quite small. We waiting several minutes for the hot water in the shower and eventually took two back to back cold showers . There was no table or dresser to put our stuff on, so we had everything on the floor.
