“Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay.”

“Stayed in Salem right outside of Ranoke for the USA finals National Mnt Biking races for 2025. Location was quiet, clean, modern, nice small cottage set up for family of 4. Good sized front yard area for yard games. Beautiful rose bushes on side of house that had lots of birds and bees visit. “Excellent place to stay! Though a little out from the center of Abingdon, it’s very close to Bristol as well. Beautiful area, home is beautifully maintained, neighborhood is SO quiet! We enjoyed the thoughtful snacks and the comfy couch, and the bed was incredible! The only issue we had was with the stone pathway into the house - while beautiful, it made navigation difficult for my husband who is legally blind. It was gorgeous, but it can be difficult to navigate while also carrying luggage. We...

“Great attention to detail. Hosts left extra surprises (including fresh flowers!!!) and provided everything we would need for our stay. The flat was clean, private/quiet, and communication and checking in and out were a breeze. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10!”

“We had a lovely week at this adorable little farmhouse which has been very nicely renovated and decorated. The views of the Blue Ridge and horse pasture and visits from local wildlife (groundhogs, deer, birds) made for a very peaceful stay. Watching summer thunderstorms, dramatic clouds, and rainbows form over the mountains was an added bonus. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable, and the place is spotlessly clean. Would definitely return! ”

“Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. ”
