“The bathtub is amazing in room 24! The whole room is amazingly! Bed was super comfy, fireplace was cozy and was nice soaking in the tub and watching the fireplace. Bathroom was nice and clean, shower was good and hot. Kitchenette is nice and fridge kept our drinks cold. You get 2 free drinks at the bar downstairs which is a nice up north type of bar. “Robert was a fun and welcoming host. Dubuque in February was not a super-lively place but we made the most of it. Construction across the street woke us around 7 am, making the 8 am do-or-die breakfast schedule understandable. The building is a living and breathing treasure. We enjoyed the video souvenir of our stay.”

“The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time.
