“We had a small window of opportunity for a trip to Highlands, NC. I found The Zen Den on VRBO and the description met what we needed. The owner gave perfect directions on how to get to our location (the gps would have never got us there) and had turned the heat on before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The cooking situation was very limited but for our short stay it was fine. For two people and a short stay the Zen Den was perfect!”

“The cabin was exactly as advertised, and perfect for our weekend getaway! Wraparound deck was perfect for morning coffee, the house was clean and organized while fully stocked for everything we needed. Fall foliage was beautiful in November! “Views of autumn colors were stunning in this golf course/pond view from condo living areas. Interior gas fireplace and outdoor porch swing were delightful. Communication with host was excellent. Unit is all first floor. You do have someone above you, as there is a separate condo unit above with exterior accessed stairs, but that was not a problem for us and seemed to be the standard for condo units in this beautiful golf course community. We bought the amenities pass for one day and paid to play...

“Cute little rental neighborhood with several modular home cottages. You can hear buck creek but you can't see it. Very quiet especially because we were the only people there. Close to downtown Highlands. Small but homey and clean. Hot tub was already on and waiting for us.”

“The house is cozy, warm and nice. Very comfortable for the two of us. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom closest to the hot tub which made our weekend. Check-in couldn't be any easier. If I had to pick on something, it would be the tight parking for a full size truck. I would stay again the next time we visit Highlands.”

“We loved the seclusion of this cozy comfy cabin. The view of the mountain was spectacular. We spent late afternoons in the sun on the deck. The proximity to Highlands, Cashiers and many waterfall hikes was perfect. The cabin itself was spotless, thoughtfully stocked and decorated. The driveway was fun and not a big deal. We had our Pilot but the Honda Accord would have been just fine. Thanks for sharing your place Jennifer!”
