Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. “This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs. “Was an older style hotel staff were friendly enough but place could do with a lick of paint. Food was ok served in the bar area. My room looked out over a roof with two boiler vents so window handle had been removed (for good reason as one does not want to be breathing those fumes even if it is mostly steam) but meant no fresh air. bed was comfy and room was spacious enough. ”
