“The hotel was beautiful and all the wonderful festive decorations made it feel very special. Bar staff were wonderful. I loved sipping my gin by the warm crackling fire place. The breakfast room was wonderful with lovely views of the snowy mountain tops. Great selection available for breakfast. My Eggs Royal were lovely, thank you for our amazing stay! “Beautiful old hotel with amazing grounds & easy walk to the lake. The room was spacious for 3 adults & we were very well looked after. Only downside was mh husband not having his favourite bourbon & no tawny port for me!! Thats being picky!! ”

“Latimer House is in the perfect location for Bowness & Windermere. The property has 5 parking places on a first come first basis (the accommodation has 7 rooms) but the block has many free parking available and so parking was no problem at all. ”

“The room was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable. The location was excellent...quiet and beautiful ....Windermere has everything from supermarkets to craft and walking gear shops, pubs to a variety of restaurants. We parked the car in front of The Hideaway, it was just a few minutes walk into the town, and we could also easily drive out to other locations. The breakfasts were excellent (with very good veggie/vegan alternatives) served by super efficient and very friendly staff. We would...

“This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again...
