“We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. We were honestly just looking for a cheap place to lay our heads for the night on a long trip home. I’m usually very picky about hotels but on this trip we were on a tight budget and I was a little nervous when booking. However, this place was absolutely wonderful. “Breakfast hours were good from 6am-10am. Pool hours are very inconvenient should be from dawn until midnight for people who like a morning swim or a late night swim(especially when the desk is manned by staff). My rooms thermostat was broken. I noticed it after returning from a short trip to get food. I set it to 68F and it was at 98F when I returned 4 hours later. A male front desk staff asked to enter my room alone to try and fix the matter. Im very familiar with HVAC and I knew it could not...

“There are no rooms that are accessible for handicapped people. The stairs have a handrail on only one side with no elevator and no ground floor rooms. When I asked about how I would be able to get my bags and myself upstairs to my room, the desk clerk commented rather snidely that I should look for a different hotel. Not the slightest sign of sympathy or offer of assistance. The hotel is over 100 years old and it shows its age… not in a good way.”

“Walk way to beach was terrible. Very difficult for elderly or people with carts or wagons. Hand rail needed.”

“The staff stood out as everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers and the breakfast lady went out of their way to greet and ask about any concerns. The room amenities were a little disappointing, but the overall experience distanced that. I think you will pay much less than a full service hotel with their upgraded amenities, but the price difference equals or exceeds the slightly different amenities provided by a much more expensive hotel.”
