“The hotel was clean, bright, comfortable, and conveniently located within 2-8 minutes walk to the beach, shopping, and food. The property seems quite old and has some quirks, but it is clean, quiet, and well maintained, with gorgeous smelling star jasmine bushes and succulents just outside the front porch, windows with stained glass over the stairs, and an open air porch on each upper floor with wicker chairs and a view of Avalon harbor. “The only thing I would change is remove the fire place and put in a dresser. There was a small closet but would have loved a dresser for convenience. We ended up leaving most of our clothing in our suitcases the whole time. ”

“This location has more space and I think has to be more relaxing than hotels right in Avalon. Continuous shuttle if you don’t want to walk. Staff is very friendly and helpful.Restaurant is separate entity from hotel and disappointing. Doesn’t open for breakfast until 8, and first morning the chef hadn’t showed up. Never went back. ”
