“There is road work going on right in front of this business which makes it hard to get into and out of it. Can't blame the business for that. While the room was clean it was dated and the bed was a memory foam over a plank and was difficult to get a good night's rest.”

“Our room was quite clean, the bed was comfortable and staff were very accommodating, The room price was fair. There is no elevator for the three floors of rooms, so be prepared for stairs. There is a ramp half way between the first and second floors which results in 8 steps up or down for the 2nd floor. Breakfast was adequate. We appreciated the hard boiled eggs most. “I travel for work so I have stayed in some pretty questionable places however this was by far the worst. I slept with a chair in front of the door and also went and bought shower shoes to wear in the shower. This is also the only time I have ever left a review for a place. This place needs a lot of work. It has potential however at this time I would never recommend this place for anyone.”

“My complaints were minimal and no doubt due to the fact that I am a senior traveler. My stay was also very short, just overnight to sleep and out the door the next morning at 5am. I was able to tap into their WiFi and that was good. Hope to spend more time with other guests on my next visit.”

“Shoal Creek B&B is a beautiful place to stay. All the furnishings are either antiques or at least look like antiques, giving the space an authentic appearance of truly stepping back in time. I had to leave before breakfast, but I enjoyed the stay very much!”

Later I was told my other guest they had been there the year before and it was closed then too for renovation. The bed spread s were curtains. The phone in the room had no cord.
