“This is a very old mom and pop motel that has been updated. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. Laminate flooring...no nasty carpet. The bathroom/shower is very clean but very outdated but functional. Big Bear Lodge is a motel, central to several parks, shopping and restaurants. If you want a room with coffee, fridge,microwave and air conditioning, central to parks and restaurants this would be a good motel for your next stay.”

“Room was small but adequate. Bathroom very small, shower extremely small, no place to set things except on window sill. Beds very comfortable. Check in was virtual, would have been nice to meet owners. Property was beautiful as well as clubhouse. Parking lot could use some painted lines, but we were one of three guests there at the time. Id stay again if i could get a lake view room with 2 beds.”

“Door code drama due to a software issue and no staff available. Resolved within an hour. Room was simple but that’s what I expected.”

“Host is not pet friendly and charges an additional fee in cash when you arrive and 2 days after departure and someone else is in property I’m charged for broken furniture that wasn’t broken and or dirty when we departed if there was any issues it should have ben informed to us that day waterfront is more like a overgrown ditch don’t recommend properly or host”

“The room was absolutely terrible. There was urine on the toilet seat, the bedding was dirty with pubic hair on the sheets and blankets, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile. I found dark curly hairs in the mini fridge along with a half drank 2liter of pop, the shower was also dirty with lots of curly hairs on the floor of the shower. I had to go and get bleach and disinfect the whole room. Would never recommend this place to anyone!”

“Was a perfect little cabin for us to relax. Not far from towns. Slept great on the bed! Wish the furniture was a little more comfy but wasn't terrible. View of lake is perfect ”

“The property is everything and more. We enjoyed some quiet moments siting in the swivel chairs and couch overlooking the lake. I loved the welcoming big interior living area where we could all be together.. The big porch pretty much has shade all day as does the sit swing down by the water.”

“This would be a 5-star review if the property had WIFI and AC. In this day and age, those should be standard amenities. As far as the lack of AC goes, we were very lucky; the temps were only in the low 80s during the day, and thankfully fell to the 60's at night. Had we stayed a week earlier, I don't think we would have been able to bear it. The property itself is quite nice. Very clean and tidy. The proximity to all kinds of walkable locations is very handy. “Kris was great! The room was nice and well maintained. Weloved the location and had a great time during our stay!Our 6-year ild loved being across from the beach, park and splash pad! We also enjoyed Pompeyos Mexican restaurant across the street.We'd stay again¡”
