“The house itself was beautiful, and the location on the lake was picturesque. There were undoubtedly several aspects that needed improvement before I could recommend this rental to anyone else. First of all, an error in the provided directions to the property caused us to travel about two hours in the wrong direction before we realized the mistake. A few key things were missing that would have improved our stay, including pillowcases on one of the beds, a coffee maker, baking trays, wine opener,...

“The view from the cottage and deck were beautiful. The cottage has full kitchen and grill on deck. Everything you need to unwind without roughing it. The cottage is near a 4 wheeler trail, so Saturday was pretty loud. I had 3 days of great weather and spent my time reading and sewing. Fall was at its best. I loved Red Travern road for fall colors. I would definitely come back. I just might stay week days when there are less 4 wheelers. ”

“Loved the house, the area and the lake. House is as described, lake is lovely, tons of things to do just at the house and almost hard to leave and explore the area! Our families threw a dart at the map this year for our vacation and we ended up with one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Indian and Mountain View Lakes are hidden gems in the Adirondacks and the house is full of history and tradition. Thanks to the owners for sharing this house! ”

“The property and the location are both amazing, and the host was wonderful! Everything is brand new and well thought out, and the owner is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!! We rented both units at this location for a weekend with extended family and have no complaints. Thank you Terry and family for a wonderful stay! ”

“Seeing an area where the natives from the Mohawk nation and the Amish work the land and are very friendly was great. We found a few antique shops worth giving em your time. And we spent a day in Canada...the cabin was clean. And the area is beautiful. ”

“The house is charmingly decorated in cabin style and appears to have been recently updated. Many of the appliances seemed new and they all worked well. Furnishings were comfortable, and the laundry and kitchen were all well supplied with the items we needed. Being able to use the kayaks to explore the Narrows was really special! The hosts were helpful and responded to our few questions promptly. This is a beautiful area, and a really comfortable base to explore it from. ”
