“Since it’s the only hotel in Glenwood Iowa, it’s pretty nice. They take very good care of it. It’s very clean. The rooms are pretty spacious and it was near a lot of restaurants. I would stay here again if I’m in town for a wedding.”

“I saw bedbugs or ticks in my room, making my stay very uncomfortable. The staff is incredibly nice. The maid cleaned my room and freshened everything after only one night. The building has definitely seen better days. It is probably time to knock it down and start from scratch unfortunately. Especially while you have such great staff to maintain it.”

“We had a very nice stay at the hotel. It is nothing fancy but overall the room was clean, beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. Breakfast was not great they didnt have much to choose from. The building is definately older but again nothing that really impacted the stay. The staff was nice and very friendly.”

“You get what you pay for. I reckon. Looks like the hotel was just remodeled possibly ?? Some old paint. Some new. Tape over outlets and lights still. Almost an old cigarette smell In bathroom. Had a new shower head with waterfall and jets. But only top part worked. When turned to side jets water flooded out bottom of fixture. A/C worked ok. Did not get very cold. And extremely loud. TV didn’t have any service or internet. It was a Ok stay for what we were there for.”

“Very dated property. The appearance on the outside is inviting but once inside you realize the age of the property and lack of room and common area maintenance. This is not a result of staff negligence, but rather it appears to be ownerships lack of desire to spend money on repairs and maintenance. The in-room internet was not good at all. “The hotel was getting some renovations done but it was all just a mess. There was plaster coming off the walls, rolls of dirty carpet just sitting in the lobby, the computer and printer station was completely out of order. “Breakfast was good. Had to pay for parking and if I knew I wouldn’t have booked. Also said they have a jacuzzi and pool. No Jacuzzi so that was a boo! Also indoor pool was freezing could barely get my legs in. Not good as I was looking forward to swimming. The small fridge in our room has a timer in it so it was off and over night I turned off not keeping items cold as it should. Bad feature and not first friendly. Everything else was fine.”
