Cottage a Fort Walton Beach - Destin

“The location is phenomenal with walking access to the beach, restaurants, food trucks and shops. However, the cottage was a little rundown and needs to be updated. I made sure to message the manager of all of the broken blinds so I wouldn’t be charged. Ventilation in bathroom is nonexistent even when you open windows there’s no way for the heat to get out so everything turns damp and humid in the room. Oh and door upstairs wouldn’t lock. “For adults in my six year old daughter stayed here. We had an excellent time. The host was very knowledgeable about the surroundings, and recommended many restaurants for us to try during our stay. The cottage is very quaint, clean, and efficient. It was very clean, and we loved sitting on the porch in the morning. The hot tub is huge and we were able to enjoy it each night. “Close to the beach, well maintained, and had basics so we didn't have to worry about soap, shampoo, toilet paper. Has beach chairs/umbrellas. Owner was very responsive to questions. Only recommendation is it would be nice to have beach towels, travel glasses/tumblers for the beach, cooler for the beach, and food storage items (containers, ziplocks, foil, etc.) but not a deal breaker just nice to have. ”

We were greeted by a friendly representative from Homeowner’s Collection who answered all of our questions. The Beach, shops, dining, and the Seaside Swim/Tennis Club were a 5 minute walk away. We highly recommend Oyster Cottage.”
