We slept late and on weekdays breakfast is served till 9:30 but we missed it. Highly recommend this hotel. Lobby smelled so good I had to ask what air freshener they were using!”

“Breakfast hours were good from 6am-10am. Pool hours are very inconvenient should be from dawn until midnight for people who like a morning swim or a late night swim(especially when the desk is manned by staff). My rooms thermostat was broken. I noticed it after returning from a short trip to get food. I set it to 68F and it was at 98F when I returned 4 hours later. A male front desk staff asked to enter my room alone to try and fix the matter. Im very familiar with HVAC and I knew it could not...

“The staff stood out as everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers and the breakfast lady went out of their way to greet and ask about any concerns. The room amenities were a little disappointing, but the overall experience distanced that. I think you will pay much less than a full service hotel with their upgraded amenities, but the price difference equals or exceeds the slightly different amenities provided by a much more expensive hotel.”

Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. “The pool and hot tub were fantastic! Our room was clean, beds were comfortable. They were terrible pillows, but that is always expected, and never a surprise, I have yet to stay in any hotel that has good bed pillows. It’s just one block from the beach, it was so lovely to be able to walk there and back. But be aware, there is no place to rinse your feet off once you leave the beach, so be prepared for that.
