“Nice, clean large rooms. Comfortable bed. Food expensive but good. Only bad thing was the non-disclosed resort fee. I asked if there was one when I checked and was told there was not one. I got screwed !!!”

“We had a great stay at Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Monticello, Iowa. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and had ample parking. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable, and the beds and pillows made for a great night's sleep. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice way to start the morning before getting back on the road. One thing to note for future guests is that the hotel has only two floors...

“Hotel desk was on second floor, 1st was like a basement, multiful Humidifiers were in hallways, probably trying to stop a mold problem. The toilet in my room would not flush, the handle when tried didn't move, was afraid I would break the handle off, so I had to tank the tank cover off to lift flusher manually. The shower had loose missing paint at the top where there might have been some trim missing that had covered the flaking paint. The shower curtain must have been broken off sometime in...

“There were only two luggage carts which was not even close to being enough. I waited over 30 minutes for a cart and ended up making several trips to my car with an 8 year old because we had to transport our own luggage without a cart. Also, had to wait a half hour to make a waffle at breakfast. Not enough waffle makers or staff to keep the food containers filled. Staff was not helpful and seemed annoyed to answer questions. Will not use this hotel again.”

“Our room was great as usual and we enjoyed the craft cocktail at the bar. Continental breakfast with pastries from the bakery next door was irresistible! We will continue to make the Black Hawk Hotel our home away from home whenever we come to Cedar Falls.”
