Hotel a Lilydale

“We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location.”

“Easy check in”

“There was a mouse running down the hallway. The entire hotel smelled of marijuana. I didn’t get into my room until 3:40 even with check in at 3. After showering and walking barefoot in my room the bottoms of my feet were black. Disgusting. I would never stay here again even if it were free.”

“When we arrived to our room all the lights were on, including the bathroom light and so was the TV. Seemed odd. Upon crawling into bed I felt a dampness on my body and upon further dampness I realized the comforter itself was wet and almost sticky which made the bed sheets also damp. Called front desk. Girl was not helpful. She sent manager up who wanted to see what I was talking about then asked if I wanted new bedding or a room change. Both options were inconvenient but we chose room change....

“We arrived on a Friday. There was plenty of parking. Front desk was fast and easy. They offered us whichever floor we wanted. We choose to stay on the main floor. The room was clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. The only thing was the shower handle was hard to turn and the toilet surprised us with it's powerful flush. In the morning we had breakfast. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, pancakes, fruits, yogurt, juices, etc... It satisfied all of us. The property sits...

“If you need a place to stay the night with a clean room and decent bed this is your place. Not a lot of frills but was overall a good stay. Nice fridge, TV and working renovations.”
