“Great place to sleep and drive to other attractions. The town itself didn’t have a lot to do, but it did have a decent sized shopping centre and restaurant hub. Staff cleaned room daily, and check in/out process was easy. Nice to have a kitchenette and private washroom in our room.”

“Loved the convenient location and awesome views of the bridge and lake from our room (#21). Several restaurants nearby with a variety of food types. Very spacious room with surprising kitchen features and utensils. Loved the heated tile floors in the bathroom and fresh milk provided for Nespresso coffee in the room. Good book in room full of information on local and hotel things. Good for a week long stay but sadly we only had one night. Would definitely return for more hiking. ”

“This was a lakeside family cabin. It was clean and amenities all worked. Ample hot water, cooking, tv etc all very good, and beautiful lakeside view. Including a resident duck family, who visited. ”

“Loved staying at Matuka - breakfast was wonderful, the ground were beautiful, location was convenient, and the room was so clean and comfortable. The weather was quite rainy while we stayed there and it was so nice to have a comfortable place to relax and still enjoy a nice view. The attention to detail started the moment we stepped in with welcome drinks (non-alcoholic option available) and handmade chocolates in the shape of rocks. The view outside our room was out of this world. The dinner (included in our room rate) was world class - inventive and high quality ingredients. The breakfast the next morning had several options to choose from. One of our most special stays!”
