“While the staff was professional and kind, our stay at Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town (4200 Taylor St) was marred by severe facility maintenance issues and an alarming security lapse. In our first room, the shower flooded ankles-deep within minutes, and maintenance dismissively claimed the tub was simply "not draining to my preference." “We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and have been satisfied each time. However, this time was different because they seemed to be understaffed due to the fact that the garbage sat near the elevator the entire week that we were there. We reported to the front desk and they said they would send someone to pick it up but no one picked it up. “The hotel was comfortable and the staff was very helpful and professional, also giving information about the city and shops where I had to buy some facilities. Just a small issue to be improved: the ventilator in the toilet worked 24/7: it makes no sense and a huge waste of energy (just multiply it for all the rooms): please address this tip to the hotel as a suggestion.
