Hotel a South Salem

“The breakfast offered a variety of breakfast items and the breakfast room was bright and clean. There was a very pleasant lady who cleaned the tables and made sure items were stocked up and ready for other travelers. I did use the pool or hot tub while I was there.”

“The room was fairly clean, but even though it is a non-smoking hotel, the room reeked of old cigarette smoke. It smelled like a dirty ash tray. I had to buy glade pug-ins and air freshener so I could bare staying there. The staff was cordial enough. The area is pretty "sketchy." I was nervous to be in the parking lot alone at night. Also, every time I moved on the bed, it made a loud noise due to the cheap bed base--it kept waking me up. The shower and air conditioner is good, but the wifi is...

“Rooms were clean, hotel was overall quiet. I gave this 3 stars because I want to be frank in that if you are staying in this hotel /area in general, there are very active train tracks right outside. As a hotel during travel or outdoor activities of the area, it is probably a very convenient location for the area (there isn’t “much” around). For a short “getaway,” for some better sleep, I would not unfortunately stay at this location again. Hotel was clean, service was kind and pleasant. Just...

“I asked for a later check out at 12:30 or 1 and the person working the front desk said they would put a note in about it. The next day the cleaning lady came knocking on the door at 11 and the lady said that they didn’t give late check out. ”

“Clean room, no bugs, staff promptly responsive to call, room smells fresh, comfortable bed, safe, you can park in front of your room. Older property with upgrades. Needs a few cosmetic touches. On main road so there's some traffic til about 9:30 PM. Have stayed there 7 times and would return. ”
