“The location was the only redeeming quality of this motel. Lots of people smoking outside, so the AC was pulling smoke smell into the room (which already reeked of smoke). The bathroom had a moldy ceiling and part of the wall was damaged and falling apart. Room doors go directly to outside, so I would call this a motel, not a hotel anyway. We had booked two nights, and only stayed one (we should have left immediately).”

“This hotel was excellent for the things that really matter to me when staying away from home. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sam! I stayed in two different rooms during my four nights and both rooms were very clean (newly remodeled) and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The only thing keeping me from giving a five star review was the breakfast. If the breakfast provided does not matter to you, then I promise you will love everything else about your stay!”

“The lady at the Front Desk named Amy was for sure the best part about the stay here. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful and helped us with anything that we needed. If I were the owner, I would do anything to keep her as an employee. The room itself was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. “Glad I stayed here through a tornado warning. Nice old hotel with lots of original features. The lack of a front desk person and the inability to use the elevator (though I did not try since prior reviews said it had to be operated by one of them) dinged this hotel. I had no trouble parking, but I arrived late and left early.”

“This is an incredibly nice hotel with lots of interesting artifacts on display, an excellent conference room, nice continental breakfast, and very comfortable and spacious rooms. There are no elevators but there are only 2 floors. This may influence your decision whether to stay here if stairs are a problem for you. The staff members are articulate, very friendly and helpful. “When we arrived the woman that took care of us didn’t speak very good English. I think she was annoyed that I didn’t understand her. Our room smelled like smoke and the bathroom was sticky. We were too tired from traveling to do anything about it. We checked out a day earlier.”
