“Sadly, the spa was not working and this was one of the draw cards for us. Also, we had 2 drinks charged to our room that were not ordered by us. Staff should never reveal guests names. When we did order drinks, from Our Land is Alive bar, we paid with cash. However when staff asked us for our room number, and we gave it, she replied by giving us our name which should never happen. Other than this, we do love Cordis.”

“Such a wonderful stay. All staff were so friendly at all times. Nothing was a problem for any staff member. You could have forgiven them for being all focussed on the All Backs staying there but this was not the case at all. We had the best room service ever experienced in any hotel. Speedy service with hot wonderfully tasting food.”

“Easily the best experience we've had in a hotel. The ataff were amazing, our room was continually being cleaned and serviced, even twice a day (we came back one night to the bed remade and chocolates on the pillows). Outstanding quality of room, fascilities and extras in the bathroom. Highly recommend staying here! ”

“The hotel was very central so convenient for me. The staff were friendly. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food was very yummy. My room was great. “The managers Aaron and Danny are amazing, professional, yet very friendly. They made sure all our needs were met but allowing us the privacy to enjoy the peace and beauty of the Te Karaka lodge surroundings. Our meals, prepared by the master chef, Franz were as good as we have experienced in any restaurant . Only the finest ingredients selected by him. “This is a really interesting hotel - from the outside it looks like you are staying in a beautifully restored quaint local home with a gorgeous frontage. When you walk inside you realize it has been gloriously renovated - in a much more modern vibe. The art is beautiful, the rooms are perfect, the tiny library (with your complimentary wine) is so relaxing. We felt very at home and the staff were exceptional. Oh and breakfast was delicious on the porch.”
