We stayed in the James Herriot room and it’s the little details such as a piece of cake a glass of port and the accessories were in keeping with the great man himself all very well thought out. We dined that evening and we were not disappointed the food was exceptional and well executed. A warm and welcoming experience by staff who were so friendly!”

“What amazing stay here for New Year’s Eve . It was the cutest place, the enormous gorgeous Christmas had me sold it was amazing and made it extra special all the little extras all the decorations. The hosts were so lovely , friendly welcoming and nothing was too much for them . The breakfast was amazing and a great selection. The room was very clean and cosy . “Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. “Il pub é bello e la struttura pulita.e ordinata. Si percepisce amore e cura. Il cibo é ottimo l, in particolare il Sunday roast. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e disponibili, oltre che sorridenti e simpatici. Per le nostre abitudini il letto della stanza in cui eravamo era un po' piccolo ma comodo. Le dimensioni della stanza piuttosto ridotte ma c'è tutto quello che serve. Ottima dotazione di asciugamani e cuscini. ”

“I felt comfortable soon has i walked in staff where lovely, the only thing was they had a power cut for 12 hours and it was pitch black in the bedroom i know its not there fault but i have a walking disability which i try to keep to my self. But other than that i have had a fantastic stay.”

“Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night. ”
