“Easy and friendly check-in. I believe the owner was always available should he be needed. Had a 2 queen bed room. Quite spacious, good sized fridge and of course coffee maker, microwave etc. Nice Neutrogena soaps provided, and shower water pressure was very good! Everything was really clean...the floor however needed attention. Probably needing to change out mop water more frequently. It was not bad enough to bring up while we were there, but did mention it after. I have no doubt it's been...

“The staff at front desk were rude! I have been trying to get in touch with a supervisor from this property for over a week now! I paid the full bill for the stay in Expedia and Fairfield Auburn charged me AGAIN for the room and is now refusing to refund my money. On top of all of that, Expedia is refusing to assist. I will NEVER use Expedia and and I will NEVER stay at another Fairfield Inn. Your customer service is pathetic.”

“The hotel is obviously a low cost hotel, but it is in dire need of updating. Hallway carpets were pretty gross looking and the room didn’t even have a closet (it had a door for a closet, but only a pipe inside the door with nothing to hang clothes on). Lights would flicker and come on slowly when you’d turn the switch on. The AC worked but not very well. But it’s quiet and cheap, sufficed for a quick overnight stay for a wedding.”

“Very good stay, excellent clean room, very good breakfast, really nice lobby/breakfast room and halls. Very quiet. The desk needs to be manned more consistently. Each time I went to the desk, it took a few minutes for someone in the back room to notice I was there - they were otherwise very helpful.”

“This place is nothing like the pictures, barley put together. Mold everywhere. And walls and floors are covered in stains. The pool you can’t even use it’s disgusting and filled with garbage and surrounded by nasty bed mattresses. The online perspective is nothing like in person.”

“The staff was great, but the food at Shade is not good; it's too expensive and not what one would expect. The clam chowder had almost no clams and no potatoes either. But the rooms are very good -- very spacious and comfortable. There is no microwave, which is a shame, but there is a small fridge. There is a nice exercise room, and there is a hot tub in use, but the pool has no heat. There are pluses and minuses here.”

“Don't miss this lodge hidden in the green hillside near Sturbridge. Nice quiet location, and a neat 2nd storey veranda in Bldg 2 one can access from the upper lot to slow and and chill out. Very reasonable, and fairly priced Thank you.”

“We requested a room with handicap access. What we got was anything but. The room was at the end of a very long hallway, a distance that was nearly impossible for the handicapped individual.”
