“We arrived late. Staff was wonderful…hassle free check in.”

“Clean room, breakfast.”

“Literally right off the exit, the Wingate was surprisingly quiet. I was greeted nicely and carts were by the door to bring luggage upstairs. The desk clerk was helpful in sharing directions and breakfast was very good. It was an overall great stay and if the pool heater is repaired next time I travel through, I'll stay again.”

“The room and property were dirty. There was an unclean odor and vibe overall. We stayed here due to limited options with graduation weekend at Virginia Tech happening the same time we had a wedding to attend. Our bedspread had a red stain on it. The carpet had several white stains strewn in different areas. The chair in the corner was stained and filthy. We didn’t use it at all. The overall condition of the property was dingy. I guess our neighbors were smoking weed all night because it was...

“Quaint Inn- loved clean jacuzzi bath tub. We only found this inn because of Expedia- however- literally 3 times comments made- well because you used Expedia we can’t enter access code for you- so upon arrival had challenges accessing property. Breakfast not included which is odd for a B&B.”

“This is a recently reconstructed hotel. It feels new. There is a great barbcue joint next door. This was the nicest hotel that we stayed in during our recent trip.”

“Eventhough we booked through Expedia, a warning about the train horns, and noise at wee hours of the night would help with planning to choose this hotel, coupled with paper thin walls. Breakfast was pretty good. Room size, and double sinks were good.”

“Parking was limited. There was no drop off/pull up to front door. We are seniors,and there was no elevator, but front desk was able to get us a room on the 1st floor. We changed out from a King to 2 doubles. That was fine.”

“Because of the graduation at VT their prices were inflated (all hotels & motels were) but it was the cheapest I could find. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The place is older and could use some renovating. Overall a good place to stay, nice friendly staff.”
