“Our stay was wonderful. The National Exchange Hotel is an historical treasure; it is updated without compromising its historical ambiance. Our room was clean, mattress was firm, water pressure was good, decor was a mix of antique and new. The garden-like back courtyard area is a wonderful place to enjoy morning muffins and coffee. We will stay there again. ”

“I need to travel to grass Valley for two months for my nursing program. I found this hotel and decided to book it based on the price and was not expecting much because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The unit is very big. When you first walk in, you have a bathroom area to the left and then a fridge and microwave on the right and then you walk down a few stairs into the actual room which is a very large space. It doesn’t come with a lot of extras, but it was definitely worth the price...

“I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. ”

“Cute and comfortable. They did a beautiful job with an older building. The check in process was a little confusing because I thought it was a hotel - know its more like a VRBO. If you can’t carry bags up steep stairs this place may not work for you. Not an ADA friendly place. The cafe below it was fantastic and friendly, wonderful little bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance. ”

“Had a really lovely 4 nights at the inn. Owned by a really lovely and friendly couple. Room was a good size, with a big comfortable bed. Plenty of bedding and towels. You get to use a lot of the property as well as the room. There is a front porch, a back room with amenities for tea/coffee, fridge, ice, microwave etc. You can sit inside there or down the stairs where there is another fridge. There are two areas to sit outside as well under parasols. The inn is minutes from the town. I would stay...
